JUAN LOPEZ

A Spanish businessman named Juan Lopez Diaz founded his brand in the 1870's. 

Although little known around the world today, Juan Lopez has always attracted a following amongst aficionados of Habanos particularly for the Seleccion No. 1 and, most notably, for the Seleccion No. 2 sizes. 

The range offers a consistent medium to full flavour based on a rich blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone and consist of long filler leaves.

For the first time in Cuba’s Regional Edition history, a Juan Lopez cigar has been created specifically for Spain, named the Juan Lopez Cincuenta y Cuatro, referencing its 54 ring gauge. Measuring 121mm by 54 rings, it comes in boxes of 10.

Its distinctive band departs from the traditional Juan Lopez design, featuring a customized motif that highlights the cigar’s name, flanked by two gold medals—one showing the original Juan Lopez logo and the other an embossed image of Havana’s Colonial Baroque Palace of the Captains General.

With only 50,000 boxes are available, these medium-to-full-bodied cigars are produced by Spain’s official Habanos distributor, Tabacalera S.L.U., and represent a rare release from the now smaller Juan Lopez line, which typically appears only in limited editions, anniversaries, or regional releases.
